The Rock Wing, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital was awarded 'Design Project of the Year’ at the Irish Construction Industry Awards in Dublin on Thursday, 7th November. It is the second year in a row that STW has received this award.
Director, Kevin Bates, and Project Director, Paul Connolly attended the ceremony, where the project was also shortlisted for the ‘MMC Project of the Year’ category.
The Rock Wing was also awarded ‘Modular/ MMC Project of the Year’ at the Building Better Healthcare Awards which took place on Wednesday, 6th November in London.
On the receipt of these two awards, Kevin Bates, Healthcare Director with STW, said: “Congratulations to all the design team, the contractors, and, especially, the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital Campus Development Office on the recognition of the Rock Wing at the BBH Awards and the ICI Awards. To deliver this project in two years and on budget was a remarkable achievement, and was testament to real collaboration between us all.”
