Kevin is a Director of Scott Tallon Walker Architects and is a winner of the RIAI Triennial Gold Medal for excellence in architecture. He has extensive experience of working across a range of international Healthcare, Science & Research and Higher Education Buildings. Kevin has successfully delivered some of STW’s most complex Science and Research Projects such as the Tyndall National Institute for National University of Ireland, Cork.
From 2010 to 2014 Kevin was the Manager of STW’s Middle East Office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he oversaw the development of STW’s Middle East portfolio. Now, based in our growing London office, Kevin continues to oversee projects in the Middle East, most notably for the Ministry of Health in Riyadh In the UK
Kevin has delivered a new Level 2 Containment laboratory Building for The Pirbright Institute and overseas at high level the design development of the University College London Hospital Phase 4 Hospital building, which is part of our UCLH Framework Commission. Kevin understands the latest trends and issues that are influencing the design and management of new Academic & Research facilities, such as: Fusion Facilities; new concepts in classroom design; increasing use of flexible space concepts; more common areas for collaboration.
His portfolio of work for STW demonstrates that facilities that are cost-effective to build, operate and maintain, can also be engaging, dynamic environments, equipped with quality systems that help institutions gain international recognition and attract and retain students and staff. Kevin has also tutored in Cork Centre for Architectural Education and in King Saud University College of Architecture.
