Scott Tallon Walker is delighted to announce that the intensive critical care unit (ICCU) extension at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) has been shortlisted at the 2023 European Healthcare Design Awards in the ‘Design for Adaptation and Transformation’ category. Designed by STW, the expansion brings TUH’s Intensive Care Wing capacity up to 21 Beds, marking a significant step forward in the hospital’s development.
“Our design for the new extension at TUH is supporting the delivery of quality care for the most vulnerable patients, while also providing an improved working environment for its outstanding staff. All rooms were designed to the latest HBN/HTM standard and were thoughtfully designed to ensure that the ICCU wards functioned efficiently, with staff and patient areas complementing each other. We are very proud to be shortlisted at the 2023 European Healthcare Design Awards, and this recognition is a testament to our proven track record of delivering high-quality and award-winning healthcare projects across Ireland and UK.” - Paul Connolly, Healthcare Project Director, commented
