The building houses the campus’s student engagement office – AnSEO – and The Academic Learning Centre.
The new 6,060m² Learning Resource Centre provides enhanced options for student support, industry engagement, entrepreneurship, and research and innovation. It also provides new options for hosting events and conferences and includes a double height café at ground floor level. The completed three storey building, along with its pedestrian plaza, creates a new landmark and forms the new front door to the campus for students and visitors arriving to the Bishopstown campus.
Rebecca Ryan of Scott Tallon Walker Architects led the JJ Rhatigan & Company contractor design team in the detailed design and delivery of this project, developed through Public Private Partnership under Project Ireland 2040.
