Scott Tallon Walker Architects’ Deirdre Whelan gave a presentation at a CBRE Ireland Lunch & Learn event in their offices on Thursday 27th July. The subject was ‘Rethinking the Workplace: at Home, in the Office, and Beyond’, and Deirdre spoke briefly about the history of office design over the past 100 years, before discussing current trends. STW’s workplace design principles were explored, including designing for inclusivity, adaptability, sustainability, health, and occupant comfort.
Deirdre also spoke about projections for the future of workplace design to maximise productivity, boost resilience through designing spaces with multiple uses, and cater to increasingly diverse expectations and needs from employees.
Thank you to CBRE Ireland for the invitation to present on this topic. Email us at hello@stwarchitects.com if you would like to request a presentation.
