Construction has Begun at Richmond Village, Fairview
21.04.2026

On Monday 20th April Ronan Phelan, Managing Director, and Paul Barry, Associate, attended the official sod turning to mark the beginning of construction of the residential development at 'Richmond Village' on the site of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Fairview.

Ronan said of the milestone:

"The new development will deliver 779 much-needed sustainable new homes, consisting of studio and one-, two-, and three-bed apartments in the heart of the existing neighbourhood of Fairview, with the first homes due to be delivered in Q4 2028.

Working with The Land Development Agency, Royalton Group, and Walls Construction Limited, Scott Tallon Walker Architects are the Design Team Leaders and Masterplanners for the project, leading the architectural design of the residential development. We are also working with Medical Architecture on the design of the new state of the art mental health facility being delivered as part of the scheme.

Richmond Village is being developed as part of the LDA’s ‘Project Tosaigh’, which will deliver 3,000 homes in Dublin, Wicklow, Meath, Kildare, Limerick, and Waterford.

Central to the design of the site are connectivity and wellbeing, with a new public park, a new plaza off Richmond Road, pedestrian links through the site, and the delivery of other public amenities to enhance and serve the community.

New and carefully considered interventions combine with repurposed and restored historic structures which are given a new lease of life in a sustainable urban development that protects and nurtures the cultural and community legacy of the site.

Construction works at the site began earlier this year, and yesterday's event was a welcome opportunity to mark the achievement of this milestone, attended by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Ray McAdam, An Taoiseach Micheál Martin Martin, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne TD, and The Land Development Agency (LDA)."
