The Diocese of Brentwood required a new 300 seat church, hall, chapel and vestry to replace their existing hall in Chingford Road, East London. 

The restricted site and the heavily trafficked roads which bound the site called for compact building design to accommodate the brief. The main church hall, chapel and bell tower are expressed as strong geometric forms on the exterior.  

Internally the play off natural light, on curved fair faced block walls, stone floors and radiating curved timber roof create a sense of calm for reflection by the congregation.
