Ronan is Managing Director of Scott Tallon Walker Architects, joining the practice in 1997 after an international career working with Renzo Piano Building Workshop on high profile projects, including the Atelier Brancusi Museum in Paris and the masterplan for the reconstruction of Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.

He has extensive experience in master planning, and in the design and delivery of high quality commercial and mixed-use projects spanning public and private sector clients.

Ronan founded the Sustainability group in STW which is now focussed on supporting all projects across the many sectors in which we work, ensuring sustainable design is front and centre from the outset.

He has a lifelong interest in visual arts, continuing Scott Tallon Walker’s tradition of weaving artworks and sculptures into the buildings they create.

  • Ronan is a regular contributor to conferences and panel discussions, recently taking part in a panel discussion entitled ‘Common Space: An Irish-Danish Conversation on Diversity and Inclusivity in Architecture and Design’ arranged by the RIAI with the Irish Embassy in Denmark, and a panel discussion at the Business Post Property Summit on the office marketplace, emerging key trends and requirements. Ronan presented at the ‘Generous Architectures’ Symposium held in Dublin date? last November, coinciding with the publication of ‘More Than Concrete Blocks. Volume 3.’
  • Ronan has assisted on a number of RIAI & IGBC committees and groups, including RIAI BCAR implementation task force; RIAI Tall Buildings Committee; IGBC Energy Rating Task Group 2; RIAI House Committee. He is a Director of the Board of the RIAI since January 2024.
