Michael is an Associate of STW. During nearly a quarter of a century with the practice, he has been directly responsible for the design and delivery of hundreds of thousands of square metres of commercial and residential developments.
A particular focus for his work has been Dublin’s North Docklands, where Michael has acted as project architect for dozens of high quality buildings as part of the regeneration of this area into a vibrant urban quarter.
Michael was project architect for nine office buildings at Ireland’s largest and most successful business park, East Point, several of the largest headquarter and speculatively developed office blocks in Dublin’s International Financial Services Centre, and office and apartment buildings as part of the 11.7 hectare Spencer Dock development, masterplanned by STW.
Michael’s experience also extends to hotel design, having led or contributed to several hotel projects totalling almost 600 bedrooms. The holistic design of each building and its interiors creates for each hotel a unique and distinctive brand identity.
Michael has also been responsible for several projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working closely with clients and contractors in the region. He led the team in the design of over 31,000sqm of production and storage facilities for the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy processor. He also worked on the College of Sports Science at King Saud University, comprising a 14,600sqm and 40,000sqm sports campus.
Michael’s Diploma in BIM Technologies allows him to maximise the collaborative potential of teams using BIM across multiple offices and timezones.
